Café Terminal allows students to use optional pre-paid accounts which are automatically charged. Otherwise, Café Terminal tenders the change to be returned.

The system also alerts the operator if the student has already purchased a meal (perhaps a free or reduced meal) at another line. Free, reduced, and full-price meals are processed identically and privately, ensuring student confidentiality and, thereby, increasing lunch sales. A module for processing applications and verifications for free and reduced meals is also available.
