Easy to Use and Install

Once installed on your server, access FORMAT through any internet browser. It runs similar to any website with pull-down menus and links to each feature. Those with access to FORMAT can be set up as a USER, with access to application entry only, or ADMIN, with access to all features. This is useful, for instance, when temporary workers are hired to assist with the data entry process. Display-Only access can be granted to allow cafeteria managers the ability to view information.

Links Family Members Together!

Siblings are linked together within FORMAT. When family statistics change (income, size, etc.), FORMAT updates the records of each child in the family automatically. The “Family Snapshot” located within the record shows a list of both family members (those with income) and students. Simply clicking on a name within the list brings up data stored for that person. Student history is also kept within each record.

Approves, Temporarily Approves, Denies Applications and Assigns Status

FORMAT automatically searches criteria of applications and determines whether a child is to receive free or reduced lunches or is denied based on federal criteria. A "Temporary Eligible Status" can be applied if applications are incomplete. This will allow the student to receive free or reduced lunch for a time specified by you.

Makes Reporting and Letter Generation Simple

FORMAT provides the ability to sort data and generate reports based on: Students, Letters, by Batch ID, Eligibility Counts/History, and Income. Letters can be generated by using a simple pull-down in FORMAT creating a merge file from data. Simply mail-merge the file within Micros generate batch letters…even in other languages! Labels can also be created with a pull-down. All reports can be viewed on the screen before printing.

Verification Sampling the Easy Way

FORMAT automatically pulls a sampling of applications for verification. A report is generated and printed along with verification notice letters

Preparing for Next Year

There's no need to dread re-keying all the student information for the next school year. FORMAT makes it easy to prepare. Students can be promoted to the next grade, moved to different schools, or deactivated easily within FORMAT.
