We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual who loves talking on the phone to augment our sales team!
Responsibilities:
- Handle customer e-mail and phone requests for information and other assistance.
- Contact customers to update data in GoldMine (our company-wide CRM database).
- Contact customers to invite them to "road shows" (regional demonstrations) and training workshops.
- Contact customers to confirm attendance at road shows and workshops.
- Assist with the response to Web Hits (sales leads that come in via our web site).
- Provide level one (first response) sales assistance to prospects and customers.
- Conduct research projects as needed.
- Develop reports as needed.
- Provide other assistance as may be required.
- Check with customers to obtain references.
- Register requests for demonstrations.
- Assist with customer surveys.
- Conduct research on customer opinions on various topics.
Requirements and Skills:
- Associate degree (or minimum 2 years of college) required, preferably in a relevant field.
- Experience in a customer service or phone-based sales environment.
- Experience in a school setting or knowledge of the educational marketplace would be a plus.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and office software products such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and other commonly used office products.
- Aptitude and willingness to develop a basic understanding of Rediker software, other products sold by the company, GoldMine and QuoteWerks (our sales quotation software).
- Ability to handle telephone calls and e-mails in a professional manner.

of inside sales positions at our Hampden, MA office. Since our
company develops and markets school administrative software to
schools worldwide, our inside sales personnel respond by phone
or email to clients from all over the world who have contacted
us for information about our products.
An inside Sales Representative works with a team of professionals
to respond to calls, web inquiries, and other requests for information,
pricing or advice from prospects. Inside Sales Representatives
market, follow-up and sell products to schools and school systems
throughout the country and in many countries throughout the world.

training department.

- Communicate effectively with salespeople, trainers and school staff.
- Accurately maintain complex calendars and records of training.

We are currently seeking a multi-talented and experienced Web Programmer to help us actualize our web dreams.
Responsibilities:
- The individual hired will have a dual role and will report to the Vice President of Development and the Web Manager to work on two primary Web-oriented projects:
- (1) Assist the VP of Development by developing various Web capacities for the migration of our proprietary education software application to a web platform:
- Author great-looking, static and dynamic ASPX web pages and CSS style sheets, modeled on the existing rich functionality of our desktop product, Administrator's Plus.
- Research, recommend and implement tools such as Adobe Writer and Crystal Reports (or viable alternatives) to construct downloadable data entry forms and user-configurable online reports for our web application.
- Author XSLT and XSL-FO transformations of XML data to generate and deliver Printable (PDF) content via web portal.
- Assist in documenting and training support staff to troubleshoot web applications.
- (2) Work with the Web Manager to add new interface features to our company website:
- Build web applications from scratch for our existing website and modify/enhance existing PHP coding.
- Design and develop the back-end for any new web solutions.
- Maintain our support site's customer user forum and debug any issues as needed.
- Evaluate and resolve any issues with our support site's features (forum log in problems, etc.)
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Programming, Information Technology, or a related field (or an associates degree in programming with demonstrated proficiency in the required skills).
- At least three years of software/Web development experience.
- Experience working with both Relational (SQL) and Object data models.
- Strong understanding of PHP programming, PHPMyAdmin, HTML programming, and CSS layout programming.
- Knowledge of cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft IIS and ASP.NET.
- Proficiency with Java and JavaScript.
- Proficiency with XML, XHTML, XSLT and XSL-FO.
- VB6 and VB.NET experience is a plus.
- InterSystems Cache Post-Relational database experience is a plus.
