Administrator's Plus
Network Environment |
|
|
10/100 Connections
Among All PCs |
|
|
|
1. Within a school,
each workstation is connected to the network via a 10/100/1000
network card. Administrator's Plus software resides on the workstation
and the data resides on the server. Updates to Administrator's
Plus software are downloaded from the Rediker Software FTP site.
The auto update feature upgrades each workstation to the latest
version of the program automatically.
On a wide area
network with 10/100/1000 connections between buildings, users
of Administrator's Plus can log into any school and view the
data for that school. The
Rediker Software District Office can access all data from all
schools live and create summary reports including all schools.
The district office can register, transfer and
withdraw students anywhere in the district. |

2.
Within a school, each workstation is connected to the network
via a 10/100/1000 network card. Administrator's Plus software
resides on the workstation and the data resides on the server.
Updates to Administrator's Plus software are downloaded from
the Rediker Software FTP site. The auto update feature upgrades
each workstation to the latest version of the program automatically.
On a wide area network with T1 connections between servers in
the various schools, Administrator's Plus in
each school would automatically post current data to an FTP site
every evening. This data would then be automatically placed into
the District Control Module to be
used for summary reports from the previous day's data. |

to the Internet/T1 Among PCs |
|
|
|
3. In a school
system with T1 connections, an Application Service Provider (ASP)
model is possible (e.g. Microsoft Terminal Services or Citrix
). Each PC or Mac is a terminal on the central server. All data
and programs reside on this server. Data for all schools and
for District Control would be current and optionally available
on the web. All Administrator's Plus functionality is maintained,
such as right click features and multiple windows. |
