2012 Spring Training Workshop
This all-day session is for the beginner user.
This session will introduce the new user to Administrator's Plus, and cover the main screens and features of the Data Base module. During this hands-on session attendees will learn how to navigate in Administrator's Plus, add new students and staff, customize data base fields, set up field validations and field types, enter and edit field data, inactivate students, organize page security in the Address screen, customize field layouts in the Address screen, learn to search and sort for specific students on reports, produce columnar lists and other types of reports. This session provides excellent preparation for newer users and those individuals who would like a strong foundation with the Data Base Module in Administrator's Plus.
The slower pace will allow for hands-on activities, as well as time to answer individual questions.

Monday All-Day Workshop
This all-day session is an intermediate-paced course for the intermediate to advanced user who already understands how to navigate within the program.
This session will show participants how to get more out of Administrator's Plus by introducing the "newest features" in the current version, as well as not so new features that may be "new to you". During this hands-on session, the primary focus will be discovering the newest features available in the latest version of Administrator's Plus, learning about the new Contact Data Base, the new Online Forms and learning a variety of tips and tricks from the trainer as well as from other users in the class.
There will be time to answer individual questions.

Monday All-Day Workshop
Day 1 of the 3-day Report Writing Track
This all-day session is for the user who has intermediate-level Administrator's Plus experience, but beginner-level Report Writing skills.
This session will first briefly cover the basics of generating reports throughout Administrator's Plus. Participants will learn how to search, sort, create and save queries & groups, and learn report generating skills that can be used in all modules throughout the program. This session will focus on the modification of existing reports and how to customize them to the school's needs, specifically labels and letters. Participants will be introduced to many of the basic report writing codes in the Data Base, Attendance, and if time permits, Discipline modules.
The slower pace will allow for hands-on activities, as well as time to answer individual questions.

Monday All-Day Workshop
This all-day session is for the beginner user.
This session is on our accounting program FINACS (Financial Accounting for Schools). This session's focus will be on student billing, accounts payable, and general ledger activities. Student billing topics include: invoice creation, applying scholarships, creating bills, applying payments, deposits, bank reconciliation, and review of associated reports. Accounts payable topics include: vendor and item set up, creating purchase orders, vouchers, paying vendors, and the impact on general ledger and review of associated reports. General ledger activities will include: exploring the general ledger, exporting to excel, and year end closing.
This is a slower-paced session for the newer user with time to answer individual questions.

Monday All-Day Workshop
This all-day session is for intermediate to advanced users, particularly personnel who install and maintain GradeQuick, SiteManager, and the GradeQuick interface with Administrator's Plus.
This hands-on session will concentrate on how to install and maintain GradeQuick on a network, or using GradeQuick Web. Topics will include: learning how data is passed back and forth between Administrator's Plus, GradeQuick and Edline, as well as time-saving technical tricks and tips and the Site Manager's new features.
The slower pace will allow time to answer individual questions.

Tuesday All-Day Workshop
This all-day session is for the beginner user.
It will cover the main screens and features of the Attendance Module. Primary focus will be on daily attendance (not period attendance). During this hands-on session, attendees will learn how to set up attendance codes, produce attendance collection forms for teachers (for schools who don't use GradeQuick), enter the daily attendance from a homeroom or 1st period class, use the Daily Attendance Bulletin, enter tardies and produce late slips to class, make corrections to student attendance, "Batch Enter" attendance codes for field trips, sport trips, etc., view and edit the school's attendance calendar, produce various types of attendance reports.
The slower pace will allow for hands-on activities, as well as time to answer individual questions.

Tuesday All-Day Workshop
This all-day session is for the beginner user.
It will cover the main screens and features of the Billing Module. Primary focus will be on Billing Codes, Creating/Editing Invoices, Batch Entry, Applying Payments, Printing and Statistical Reports. During this hands-on session, attendees will learn how to create invoices for students according to the payment plan they have chosen; Add/Edit invoices for individual students; Apply payment as money is received; Print receipts; Print periodic invoices/statements; Print aging reports/summaries; Run statistical reports.
The session will cover the new process of managing online payments, as well as dispatching invoices and statements via email.
The slower pace will allow for hands-on activities, as well as time to answer individual questions.

Tuesday All-Day Workshop
This all-day session is for the beginner user.
This session is for users new to schedule building in Administrator's Plus. This session will introduce the new user to building the school's master schedule, and prepare them for schedule building sessions offered later in the week.
Topics will include: understanding scheduling terminology and the required "first steps" for creating a schedule. This includes how to create and configure the new year, define the rotation, update the master course list, understand and enter student course requests, recognize and deal with potential constraints.
This session will prepare the participant for Wednesday's Master Schedule Building Workshop.
The slower pace will allow for hands-on activities and sufficient time to answer individual questions.
Note: Attendees will not build a schedule during this session. It is intended to help attendees complete the steps that need to be completed before a schedule can be built.

Tuesday All-Day Workshop
Day 2 of the 3 day Report Writing Track
This all-day session is for the user who has intermediate-level Administrator's Plus experience, and beginner to intermediate-level report writing skills.
This session will build on the skills learned in the Level I class and briefly review the basic codes learned in the Level I class, and then cover more intermediate report writing codes including: general box, photo, image, family labels, family directories, drawing lines, and header/footer codes (that are found in most standard list reports).
The slower pace will allow for hands-on activities, as well as time to answer individual questions.
Note: Attendees should bring to the session report writing projects (or ideas of report writing needs) that they are interested in working on during the session. Anything created or modified can be taken back to the school on participant's USB drives/disks/etc. with instructions on how to install them to the school's server.
Note: This workshop session is NOT for the beginner Administrator's Plus user. It is for the user who has intermediate-level Administrator's Plus experience, and beginner to intermediate-level report writing skills.

Tuesday All-Day Workshop
This full day session is for the intermediate user, interested in preparing their data to use the Administrator's Plus Online Forms.
This session will focus on how to prepare your data for the use of Online Forms. It will cover all options of receiving information into either Data Base fields, Contact DB fields, Super DB tables or Portfolio items.

| Master Schedule Building Workshop for High Schools - Featuring the Newest Super Deluxe Schedule Builder |

This all-day session is for the user who has intermediate-level Administrator's Plus skills, and intermediate to advanced-level manual schedule building skills.
This hands-on session will cover how to use the Super Deluxe Schedule Builder to assist in building your high school's schedule of classes. The primary focus will be on understanding the "process" of building a school's schedule considering all the politics, restrictions, and variables involved, and how the software can incorporate many of these variables when building a schedule of classes. Dealing with conflicts, (part-time teachers, room restrictions, labs, etc.) and other common tasks are a part of the day's instruction. This session will be a mix of lecture and hands-on. This class is designed for Administrator's Plus users who are responsible for building a high school/upper school class schedule. Attendees should have some knowledge of their own school's scheduling needs and/or some general knowledge about high school scheduling.
Note: This session is intended for high schools which need to build a class schedule from year to year. If you are an elementary school, or your class schedule rarely changes from year to year, please refer to the other classes on scheduling offered during the week.

Wednesday All-Day Workshop
This all-day session is for the beginner to intermediate user.
This session will introduce the user to the Report Card Module for educators at elementary and middle schools. Middle and lower school grade management and reporting will be covered using the Report Cards Module. Topics will include: setting up the grade table, understanding how to set up and run various Honor Rolls, and how to use the powerful grade search function within the Report Card module. Special emphasis will be placed on using "skills" with courses for report card purposes. It will also cover various methods for scheduling students into classes, as well as entering your already-built section list. Designed for users who desire a more intensive, hands-on approach to understanding the basics.
The slower pace will allow for hands-on activities, as well as time to answer individual questions.

Wednesday All-Day Workshop
This all-day session is for the beginner to intermediate user.
This session will introduce the user to the Report Card Module for educators at high schools. This session will cover the basics of setting up Administrator's Plus to store and report grades, each of the module's menu items, and the new features. Other topics will include: manual entry of data into the master course and section lists, and into student schedules in preparation for grade reporting, and how to produce report cards, class ranks, eligibility lists, run multiple honor rolls, and learn the new Advanced Honor Roll generator. Designed for users who desire a more intensive, hands-on approach to understanding the basics.
The slower pace will allow for hands-on activities, as well as time to answer individual questions.

Wednesday All-Day Workshop
This all-day session is for the beginner user.
This session will cover the main screens and features of GradeQuick as teachers would use the program. This session is delivered as a "Train the Trainer" class with the goal of giving the attendees the skills to go back to their schools and train other GradeQuick users. Primary focus will be placed on creating grade books, adding test columns, entering scores, viewing score and student data and "hiding" terms, using grade weighting, sorting the class roster, taking and sending attendance, entering notes for students and reports, creating and using score footnotes, setting up and using various grade scales, setting up and using grading symbols, producing student, test and class reports, and other features of both GradeQuick Network and GradeQuick Web.
The slower pace will allow for hands-on activities, as well as time to answer individual questions.

Report Writing Track Day 3: Report Writing, Level III Tuesday's Report Writing Level II is required to attend this session |

Day 3 of the 3 day Report Writing Track. You must register for Tuesday's report writing session in order to register for this session.
This session will build on the skills learned in the Level I and Level II classes, briefly review the basic codes learned in the Level I class, review the intermediate codes learned in the Level II class, and then cover more advanced report writing codes including: the family directory, course table box code, gpa codes, honor roll box code and department credit code as time permits.
The slower pace will allow for hands-on activities, as well as time to answer individual questions.
Note: Attendees should bring to the session report writing projects (or ideas of report writing needs) that they are interested in working on during the session. Anything created or modified can be taken back to the school on participant's USB drives/disks/etc. with instructions on how to install them to the school's server.

| Generating Reports: Using the Default Reports in Administrator's Plus - Understanding the Spec. Screens |

This all-day session is for the intermediate user.
This session will cover the default reports in Report Writers and in the different modules in Administrator's Plus. It is designed for the user who wants to gain a better understanding of generating built-in reports in modules throughout Administrator's Plus. Attendees will learn how to use the specifications screens, and user-defined tasks to produce reports, letters, lists, etc. This session will include tips and tricks for using the Data Base, Daily Attendance, Discipline, and Report Card Module's report writers.
Note: This session does not cover report writing or code manipulation. For report writing classes, see Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday's sessions (Report Writing Level I, Level II, Level III, and Skills Based Report Card Report Writing)

| Admissions Plus Pro Day 1: Make the Admissions Process Work for Your School - Setting up and Configuring Admissions Plus Pro |

This all-day session is for the beginner to intermediate user.
This session will be continued on Friday.
Attendees will learn the steps necessary to setup and configure our new admissions software program, Admissions Plus Pro. Emphasis will be placed on the Setup Center and Demographics screen.
This class on Admissions will be a 2-day session: Thursday & Friday.

This overview of the Data Base Module will give a brief introduction to enhanced security, new features, tricks, tips, customize, new files, print program, the family feature, field validation, and more.

This session serves as an introduction to the Contact Data Base in conjunction with Administrator's Plus report writers. The emphasis will be two-fold:
- Enabling reports to print for Contacts
- Including Contact fields in your report templates

This half-day session is for the beginning to intermediate user, specifically for school leaders (principals, assistant principals, headmasters, guidance directors, deans, etc.)
This hands-on session will focus on how to find, retrieve and report on data that will assist in making decisions about student and staff performance. The session will also cover how to identify grading trends among teachers, how to pick up on student failure and how they are affected by both discipline and attendance, how to create class enrollment reports that tell how many students your teachers are handling, etc. These and many other types of reports can be at the fingertips of your school's leadership.

Thursday All-Morning Workshop
This morning session is for intermediate to advanced users who need to manage Administrator's Plus with the all-powerful Supervisor login account. This session will outline the role of the Supervisor account in setting up, managing and using Administrator's Plus. Managing users, schools, module customizations, codes, fields, as well as creating Assistant Supervisor accounts to help share the load of the Supervisor. This session is a mixture of lecture, and hands-on. Participants will also be encouraged to share their experiences with how the Supervisor account is used at their schools.

Thursday All-Afternoon Workshop
This afternoon session is for the general user.
This session will cover how to setup, use and manage the parental web portal, Edline. Focus will be on creating Edline accounts, using the Edline Quick Sync and Edline Reporter utilities within Administrator's Plus, and sending progress reports from GradeQuick grade books up to Edline. See real-time examples of great Edline websites, and get tips and tricks from current customers already using Edline.

This morning session is for intermediate to advanced users.
Middle schools have very different requirements when it comes to scheduling. This session will cover the various methods that middle schools might use to add scheduling items to the student records. These methods may include:
- Using the demographic fields to assign students to groups
- Scheduling all students in a group (or homeroom) to the same classes
- Scheduling students roster by roster
- Walk in schedules
Note: This session does not include building a class schedule. Rather, it is for schools where a course and section list are already in place. If, at your school, the class schedule changes each year, please see the schedule building session.

This session will cover the main screens and features of the Period Attendance module, setting up the codes, entering period attendance using GradeQuick, and manually editing student period attendance, producing various default reports and letters including official attendance registers using period attendance.
Note: This session is designed for schools that use or are considering the period attendance module.

| Skills Based Report Card Report Writing: Building a Customized Skills Based Report Card from Scratch |

This all day session is for the user who has intermediate Administrator's Plus experience, and intermediate report writing skills.
In this hands-on session, attendees will first learn about basic codes found in skills-based report cards. These codes include: inserting images, general boxes, attendance boxes, and skills box codes. The session will focus on how to "start from scratch", and create a template for a skills-based report card that meets the school's requirements. This session is more of an interactive, hands on class than a lecture. Attendee's projects and questions will be the main focus of this session.
Note: Attendees should bring to the session report writing projects (or ideas of report writing needs) that they are interested in working on during the session. Anything created or modified can be taken back to the school on participant's USB drives/disks/etc. with instructions on how to install them to the school's server.

| Admissions Plus Pro Day 2: Reporting, Exporting Applicants and Introduction to Online Applications |

This all-day session is for the beginner to intermediate user.
This session is continued from Thursday.
This session will start by finishing up any topics left over from Thursday's class. Attendees will then learn the steps necessary to setup and generate customized letters and reports using Admissions Plus Pro data. Attendees will learn how to export applicants who have completed the process to Administrator's Plus and see how the new online Application process works. The entire 2 day course will be "hands on" except the online portion.

Friday All-Day Workshop
This morning session is for the general user.
This session will overview the main screens and features of the Report Cards module. Primary focus will be on setting up the grade table, customizing the grade columns, establishing academic departments, linking courses to departments, understanding how to award credits, calculating career GPA's, entering/editing grades, narratives, comment codes, class absences, manually entering or importing grades from GradeQuick, calculating semester or final averages, setting up various honor rolls, running class rank/eligibility lists, producing various grade reports including report cards, transcripts, search lists, grade distribution reports, etc.

This morning session is for the intermediate user.
This session will cover the Import and Excel Wizards. Attendees will learn how to streamline and speed up data entry by taking external data and importing it into Administrator's Plus, and learn how to use the Excel Wizard to get data out of Administrator's Plus into Excel. The new multi-module query is included in this session.

Friday All-Morning Workshop
This morning session is for the general user.
This session will cover the main screens and features of GradeQuick as teachers would use the program. Primary focus will be placed on creating grade books, adding test columns, entering scores, viewing score and student data, hiding terms or students, using grade weighting, sorting the class roster, taking attendance and sending the attendance to the office, setting up and using various grading scales, setting up and using grading symbols, and sending grades to the office. Attention will also be placed on using Site Manager to help in your administration of all teacher grade books. Managing GradeQuick user accounts, restricting options, transferring program updates, etc.

Friday All-Morning Workshop
This morning session is for the intermediate user.
This session will first cover how to set up user defined tables in the Super Data Base to extend the power of the Data Base module to store test scores, notes, college applications, etc. Then the session will cover how to create and use SDB table views for use within reports in the various report writers throughout the program, as well as single student reports and lists.

Friday All-Morning Workshop
This afternoon session is for the intermediate user.
This session will cover calculating GPA's and Credits and running Honor Rolls in Administrator's Plus. Learn how and when to update GPA's and credits, learn how to use the logs to double-check updates, and learn how to run multiple honor rolls.

Friday All-Afternoon Workshop
This afternoon session is for the general user.
The Backup Program greatly reduces the risk of your losing precious data - especially when performing certain global tasks. Learn how to use the utility: set up templates, differentiate between types of backups, etc. Also, get a leg up on how to properly close out the school year in Administrator's Plus including: entering final grades, updating GPA's and credits, transfer data to the new school year, etc.

This afternoon session is for the general user.
This session is an overview of the Scheduling module including: new features, tips and tricks, printing course sign-up lists, entering student course requests, printing schedules (student, staff, master and room), and other forms, editing course and section lists, quick ways to schedule students into courses, and performing add/drops.
Note: This course does not include using the Super Deluxe Schedule Builder. For schedule building sessions, please see the other classes offered during the week.
