Seeking the best student information system for managing Catholic schools, the Diocese of Syracuse has partnered with Rediker Software. After four schools within the Diocese successfully implemented Rediker’s AdminPlus in 2014, the remaining 18 schools embraced this new system, citing the need for a comprehensive school management system that would include handling their scheduling and report card needs more reliably, efficiently and effectively.

The entire diocese, scheduled to be up and running on AdminPlus by fall 2015, will benefit from a proven solution for Catholic schools. The diocesan office can now instantly create reports and analyze data for all students and schools with Diocesan Manager. The program’s reporting tools make it easy for the diocesan office to create ad-hoc statistical reports, NCEA Data Bank Summary reports, historical reports, and Excel reports. Not just a reporting tool, Diocesan Manager also includes admissions functionality with diocesan enrollment features. Additionally, the program allows the diocesan office to effortlessly transfer students from one school to another.

"We are pleased to welcome the whole Diocese of Syracuse to the Rediker Software family,” said Andrew Anderlonis, President of Rediker. “By selecting AdminPlus, the entire diocese will benefit from our integrated student information system backed by the best technical support in the industry.”

When evaluating their student information system in 2013, Seton Catholic Central High School recognized that building their school’s master schedule had become a burden. Their previous SIS simply couldn’t schedule classes with multiple sections, and there were too many unscheduled course requests. And when report cards were issued, ongoing difficulties with inaccurate GPA calculations and transcripts forced administrators to revert to a manual system. After reviewing the best software systems for Catholic schools, the high school decided to transition to Rediker Software, and three feeder elementary schools joined them.

“Rediker’s software tackles the toughest issues, whether it be creating a master schedule with an abundance of singletons and part-time shared teachers or creating student schedules individually, by grade, or all at once,” noted Anchen Schulz, Vice Principal of Seton Catholic High School. “And producing report cards, honor rolls, and transcripts is a breeze with Rediker.

“But, what truly sets Rediker apart from all other companies and products is their trainers, their technical support, and their continuous focus on updating and improvement,” she added. “The customer feels as though they have been welcomed into the Rediker family by one of their own – a student information user who relies on and applies data to continuously improve the teaching and learning environment of their own school."
