The Rediker Software Online Support Center has just gotten better with the launch of the fully redesigned Rediker Support Web Portal. Not only can customers now find solutions with a great new searchable solutions knowledge base, but they can also submit support tickets from anywhere in the support community, and chat with Rediker Support agents via a live chat widget.

The Solutions knowledge base is one of the most important new features of the new support community portal. When Rediker Technical Support resolves an issue, an agent logs the problem and the solution. Then, when AdminPlus users with a support community account are looking for an answer to a question about the software, they can search a database of these solutions articles and find their answer quickly and easily.

“These features work seamlessly with a much-improved search functionality to help customers solve issues on their own,” Rediker President Andrew Anderlonis explained. “Previously, customers would need to call Tech Support for answers to these questions. While our wait time is very low, it still took extra time which, we know, is very valuable. Now, our customers can search and find the answers they need on their own,” he said.

Improved Search

Another important feature of the new support community portal is the updated search engine. The new search engine includes improved indexing to include all solutions articles, forum posts, feature requests, release notes, announcements, and cloud status updates. The Instant Search provides displayed results as you type, but should no result display, the user can simply press ‘Enter’ to proceed to the full results, and then sort by result type.

Due to the number of solutions articles available, the site search is the most effective way to navigate the knowledge base. Drop-down navigation was eliminated completely, and now users will find a responsive home page with mobile-friendly links, a shortcut bar on subpages, responsive category pages, a search box in the page header, and an improved footer. Context sensitive navigation elements and a shortcut bar can also be found on the home page.

Simplified Site Design

The new support community portal contains all the functionality of the previous iteration, but with a focus on simplicity. Site navigation was redesigned around an updated search engine and drop-down navigation was eliminated and replaced by a responsive home page with mobile-friendly links. The new simpler design also keeps mobile users in mind.

Additional Features and Improvements

Other great features and improvements include updated forums, an improved Cloud Services Status page and an improved and relocated documentation site.  The forums have been updated and posts from the old forums have been moved to the Forums Archive. As you draft a forum topic, relevant existing topics appear next to the new topic form. The Cloud Services Status page is available to any visitor to the support community portal, regardless of login status.

And, with the Rediker Support Documentation site, the following improvements include:

  • Server upgraded to improve page load times and overall stability
  • Documentation home page updated to fit with new Portal redesign
  • Search indexing for the documentation site search engine improved
